USING OUR MONARCH LATHE

Please allow us this opportunity to show some of our people, machinery and a bit of our own prototype testing.

This is a somewhat less than serious look at turning a piece of steel on our vintage 1943 Monarch 10-EE lathe. This was the first machine that we bought thirty years ago, and it is still going strong.

The lathe was originally used to turn explosives at Los Alamos Labs, and it was missing a few covers when we got it. The covers were removed so they could push the control levers from a remote location. Gradually, the covers have been replaced as they show up on eBay.
