3D PRINTING

micro-Heat offers 3D printing for quick prototyping. 3D printing is also great for machine fixturing and casting operations.

3D PRINTING ON YOUR SCHEDULE

micro-Heat’s engineers can design and create precise, custom 3D printed prototypes and functional parts, according to your timetable.

Multiple printers and materials are available to provide the performance you need. Whether the part is for quick fit-testing or a durable end product, 3D printing may work for you.

PRINTER MATERIALS

Just as the number of 3D Printers have proliferated, the options for materials have grown too. We keep many materials on-hand to meet your needs. Here are some of the materials we have explored on our machines:

PETG
Easy to print and inexpensive
Good strength 53 MPa
Service temperature up to 73°C

ASA
UV resistant – good for outdoor use
Good strength 55 MPa
Service temperature up to 95°C

ABS
Heat and impact resistant
Good strength 40 MPa
Service temperature up to 98°C

PLA
Inexpensive and easy to print
Good strength 40 MPa
Service temperature up to 52°C

PVA
Dissolvable in water
Typically used as a support material

Flexible
Tricky to print but cool results
Can easily bend and stretch
Service temperature up to 52°C

Nylon
UV resistant – good for outdoor use
40-55 MPa, Flexible & fatigue resistant
Service temperature up to 80-95°C

Carbon fiber filled
Heat and impact resistant
Great stiffness but not very durable
Service temperature up to 52°C

Polycarbonate
Heat resistant and durable
Great strength 72 MPa
Service temperature up to 121°C

3D PRINTER IN ACTION

Building our first multi-color 3DBenchy on the Bambu Lab Printer.

This printer is equipped with sixteen filament spools for color and material options. It’s not as fast as the time lapse video, but we were amazed how fast this machine could run.
